The short answer (checked 4 November 2026): Internxt's Black Friday sale is already live. Its lifetime page shows 1 TB for €247, 2 TB for €377 and 5 TB for €507, labelled 87% off. Last year's 5 TB deal was €390, so a lower price may still come before the sale ends. If you want the most encrypted storage for one payment, the ShieldFive Founding Lifetime is 5 TB for €249 with no sale to wait for. €249 until 30 November 2026, then €299.

Internxt shows its lifetime prices as discounts all year, and its 5 TB plan was €585 on 23 October, so compare euros, not percentages.
What Internxt did on Black Friday 2025
Reports from last year put the 5 TB lifetime plan at €390 in Europe (TechRadar, Netzwelt) and $350 in the US (Cloudwards), labelled 90% off. The sale ran from 3 November to 3 December 2025 according to WebsiteRating. These come from deal coverage rather than an archived Internxt page, so treat them as a guide.
Deal marketplaces have listed the same plan for less. Check the refund terms, and whether the plan can be upgraded later, before buying from a reseller.
The comparison that matters: price per terabyte
| Option | Storage | One-time price | Per TB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Internxt 5 TB, today | 5 TB | €507 | €101 |
| Internxt 5 TB, Black Friday 2025 | 5 TB | €390 | €78 |
| ShieldFive Founding Lifetime | 5 TB | €249 | €50 |
Internxt would have to go well below last year's price to match €249 for 5 TB. If it does, this page will say so.
Should you wait for a lower Internxt price?
If you have decided on Internxt, probably yes. Today's €507 is above last year's €390, and last year's sale lasted into December. Buy from the provider's cheapest page, and do not rush because of a banner.
If you are still choosing, price is not the only difference. Both encrypt files on your device, so the choice comes down to what each one includes and how its terms treat you.
Where Internxt is better
Stated plainly, so you can decide:
- Apps. Internxt has desktop sync and an iOS app today. ShieldFive has web, Android, Windows and Mac apps but no sync client, and its iOS app is still in testing.
- Independent testing. Internxt has completed a penetration test by Securitum and holds ISO/IEC 27001. No external security audit of ShieldFive has been completed; its crypto core is open source.
- Extras. Internxt's plans include a VPN and antivirus, and file versioning. If you would use them, they count.
- More sizes. Internxt sells 1 TB and 2 TB if you need less, though not more than 5 TB.
Who should buy ShieldFive instead of waiting
- You want 5 TB for less: €249 against €507 today.
- You will use it as an archive you open rarely. Internxt's terms, read on 23 October 2026, say that 12 months without a login, upload or download triggers an email, and that without a reply in 30 days it may presume you have reached 99 and end the plan. ShieldFive's Terms §5.3 have no sign-in requirement.
- You want stronger post-quantum settings on the files themselves. Web uploads here use hybrid ML-KEM-1024; Internxt's post-quantum layer protects account and sharing keys with Kyber-512.
- You would rather not watch prices for four weeks. Our price is fixed through Black Friday.
What "lifetime" means here: 99 years or the account holder's lifetime, whichever is shorter. It includes 200 GB of downloads every 30 days, for personal use. If ShieldFive ever stops, you get at least 12 months' notice and a full export (what Lifetime means).
Try it first
The free plan is 10 GB with no card, encrypted the same way (Internxt's free plan is 1 GB). Upload a few files, preview one and share one with an expiry before you pay.
