The short answer (updated 29 October 2026): Black Friday is 27 November 2026, and most lifetime cloud storage sales have not been announced yet. Internxt already shows a Black Friday banner; pCloud and Icedrive show their usual prices; Filen no longer sells lifetime plans. This page lists last year's deals and today's prices, and will be updated on 24 November and on each day from 27 to 30 November. ShieldFive has no Black Friday sale: the ShieldFive Founding Lifetime is 5 TB for €199 once, with every file and file name encrypted on your device. €199 until 31 October 2026, then €249.
What the lifetime sales looked like on Black Friday 2025
| Provider | Black Friday 2025 offer | Source |
|---|---|---|
| pCloud | 5 TB lifetime bundle (storage, pCloud Encryption and pCloud Pass) for $599 | Cloudwards, TechRadar |
| Internxt | "Up to 90% off" all plans, 3 November to 3 December 2025 | WebsiteRating |
| Icedrive | 50% off lifetime plans; 1 TB plus a year of IceVPN for $199 | It's FOSS |
| Filen | Pro lifetime plans back for the last time, sold out by early December | Filen, 9 October 2025 |
These come from deal roundups rather than the providers' own archived pages, so treat them as a guide to the size of the discounts, not as quotes.
Lifetime prices before Black Friday 2026
Read on each provider's own site (Internxt on 23 October 2026, the others on 29 October 2026), in euros:
| Provider | Lifetime plans | Files encrypted on your device by default |
|---|---|---|
| ShieldFive | 5 TB for €199, 30-day full refund | Yes, every file and file name |
| pCloud | 500 GB €219, 2 TB €499, 10 TB €1,499 (shown down from €279, €709 and €2,799) | No — pCloud Encryption is a separate €150 purchase for one folder |
| Internxt | 1 TB €285, 2 TB €435, 5 TB €585 (shown as 85% off) | Yes |
| Icedrive | 500 GB €219, 2 TB €479 (shown down from €329 and €719) | Partly — check which folders are encrypted on your device |
| Filen | None; lifetime plans removed "for an indefinite period" | Yes (subscriptions) |
How to judge a Black Friday lifetime deal
- Compare the price per terabyte with encryption included. A 2 TB plan at half price can still cost more per terabyte than a larger plan at full price, and on pCloud the encryption add-on is extra.
- Ignore the percentage. pCloud, Internxt and Icedrive show their prices as discounts from list prices all year round. "85% off" in October is the normal price, so compare euros, not percentages.
- Check who can read the files. End-to-end encryption by default means the provider stores only ciphertext. On a plan you keep for decades, the default matters more than the discount.
- Read what "lifetime" means. It is the life of the service, the account owner or a fixed number of years, depending on the provider. Look for a notice period and an export path if the company stops.
- Buy from the provider, or know what a reseller gives up. Deal marketplaces sometimes sell these plans for less than the provider's own site; check the refund terms and whether the plan can be upgraded later.
Why ShieldFive has no Black Friday sale
We announced on 23 October that the price of the ShieldFive Founding Lifetime would go from €199 to €249 on 1 November, and we are keeping that price through Black Friday rather than cutting it four weeks later. The comparison is on size and encryption instead: last Black Friday, pCloud's 5 TB bundle with encryption was $599, and Internxt's 5 TB lists at €585. 5 TB for €199 is €40 per terabyte, with encryption included. If a provider beats that this year, this page will say so.
What you get, and the limits
Every file and file name is encrypted on your device before upload, and ShieldFive stores only ciphertext and never holds your keys. Web uploads default to post-quantum hybrid encryption (ML-KEM-1024 with XChaCha20-Poly1305). The plan includes 200 GB of downloads every 30 days for personal use, lasts 99 years or the owner's lifetime, whichever is shorter, with 12 months' notice and full export if ShieldFive closes, and has a 30-day full refund.
The limits: the web app works now; the Android app is coming to Google Play, and the iOS and desktop apps are in testing, not yet available. The crypto core is open source (Apache-2.0) but the apps are not, and no external security audit has been completed. We serve the web app's code, so the guarantee holds for the code you are served. Read the security model before buying, and try the free 10 GB plan with files you can afford to lose first.
